At Native Pride on Tallchief Territory, we are proud to join in celebrating the miraculous recovery of Damar Hamlin from his life-threatening injury in the Buffalo Bills vs. Cincinnati Bengals Game.
However, in addition to a feel-good moment for our community, Damar’s experience was an unforgettable lesson on the importance of being prepared in times of emergency. That’s why we are using it as a guideline for reviewing our company policies, and ensuring new standards of safety for those who patronize our businesses, and all who work for us.
The first of those new standards involves partnering with Seneca EMS to host a recent CPR Certification Class for our administrative staff and team members.
The class was open to our entire security team, cashiers, managers, warehouse workers, Diner workers, office workers and dispensary workers. Now, with their completion of the class, there will be someone onsite in all our departments who is CPR certified. Our plan is to further expand these safety measures with the upcoming installation of AED machines throughout buildings on our properties.
We are also hosting another CPR class that is open to the public on Monday, March 6th at 6pm, in the banquet room of the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation Volunteer Fire Hall (12879 4 Mile Level Rd, Irving, NY 14081). If you are interested in taking the class, please contact Erika Seneca-Hastie at erika@nativepride.com to reserve your spot in the class. There is a 25-person limit.
We are taking these actions so you have full confidence that whatever brings you to one of our locations— fuel for your car or truck, our Tallchief Diner/Cigar/Convenience Stores, the Tallchief events we produce, the products we sell, or if you are one of our valued
employees—we are doing our best to ensure your safety at all of our locations. On Tallchief Territory, your well-being is our top priority.
